Robin Dermer

When Robin was just nine years old she started her own Ann Landers column for her elementary school newspaper. Besides dishing out advice, she constantly wrote poems, kept a journal and sent persuasive letters to whomever she deemed unjust or unfair, often getting results that proved to her at a early age that the pen is truly mightier then the sword. In college, as the co-editor of a literary art magazine she found a home for her poetry. Shortly after starting a family with Lawrence, the two realized that her passion for writing was about to be catapulted to the next level. Robin began to collaborate with Lawrence and the result yielded songs that would be performed by Gloria Estefan, Jenifer Lopez and Thalia. Robin's songwriting achievements have been recognized by several BMI awards and multi -platinum successes. As her writing matured with her family she felt she had something inside that needed to be said, something that truly reflected her values and vision for the world. The combination of these ideas and the musical talents of the rest of the family led to the creation of "THIRD HOUSE RISING. " Robin’s influences are Lauren Hill and Diane Warren. She loves to be at home with her kids writing in her pajamas!
